The present invention provides a composition containing (a) a substantially nitrogen free dispersant derived from the reaction product of: (i) a polyalkenyl-substituted acylating agent; and (ii) a polyol; (b) a primary metal hydrocarbyl dithiophosphate; (c) an oil of lubricating viscosity; and (d) optionally a viscosity modifier, wherein the composition contains about 35 ppm or less of nitrogen derived from a substantially nitrogen free dispersant. The invention further provides a process for preparing the composition and its use.

L'invention porte sur une composition contenant (a) un dispersant sensiblement dépourvu d'azote dérivé du produit réactionnel de : (i) un agent d'acylation polyalcényle-substitué ; et (ii) un polyol ; (b) un hydrocarbyle dithiophosphate de métal primaire ; (c) une huile de viscosité lubrifiante ; et (d) facultativement un modificateur de viscosité, la composition contenant jusqu'à 35 ppm environ d'azote dérivé d'un dispersant sensiblement dépourvu d'azote. L'invention concerne en outre un procédé de préparation de ladite composition et l'utilisation de cette dernière.
