A fluid pressure cylinder assembly (28) has a sensor (64, 72) to provide a signal indicating the amount of extension of a piston rod (36) from the cylinder (34). The sensor (64, 72) includes a sleeve (64) that is fixed relative to a base (42) of the cylinder (34) and passes into a longitudinal bore (50) in the piston rod (36), and the piston rod (36) carries a sensor core (72) that is in the bore (50) and is secured to the piston rod (36) at an end opposite from a piston (38) on the rod (36). The core (72) slides on the interior of the sensor sleeve (64). A connection is provided to the sensor sleeve (64) such that as the core (72) moves relative to the sensor sleeve (64) a signal indicating the amount of movement and the relative position of the cylinder base and the piston rod is provided.
Linvention concerne un ensemble cylindre hydraulique (28) présentant un capteur (64, 72) pour fournir un signal indiquant la quantité dextension dune tige de piston (36) depuis le cylindre (34). Le capteur (64, 72) comporte un manchon (64) fixé par rapport à une base (42) du cylindre (34) et passant à lintérieur dun trou longitudinal (50) dans la tige de piston (36), et la tige de piston (36) porte un noyau de capteur (72) qui se situe dans le trou (50) et est fixé à la tige de piston (36) à une extrémité opposée à un piston (38) sur la tige (36). Le noyau (72) glisse sur lintérieur du manchon de capteur (64). Une connexion est disposée sur le manchon de capteur (64) de telle sorte quà mesure que le noyau (72) se déplace par rapport au manchon de capteur (64), un signal indiquant la quantité de déplacement et la position relative de la base du cylindre et de la tige de piston est fourni.
