The propulsion means consists of an internal oombustion engine drivingly connected to hydraulic pump means providing fluid pressure for hydraulic mDtors drivingly associated with wheels of the car. rrhere is control valve means operable by a person seated on the platform to control flow of hydraulic fluid for the pump and motor to vary the speed of travel of the vehicle from zero to maximum in each of fonYard and backward directions of travel. rrhere is brake means operatively associated with at least one wheel of the track car and operable from the platform and, preferably, by a single lever oontrol which also operates ~he control valve means. m e arrangement of the propulsion means and seating acoommDdation is such as to provide a compact vehicle with mEuui~um accc~dation for a pay load and a vehicle weight such that it can be manually remDved from and placed on the track by no more than two persons.
