HOE 79/F 901 HYDRAULIC FLUIDS Abstract of the disclosure: A hydraulic fluid is described which is marked in particular by excellent viscosity values at different temperatures and by a high dry boiling point and a high wet boiling point, and which in addition complies with both the specifications DOT 3 and DOT 4. Said hydraulic fluid consists substantially of A) from about 10 to 30 % by weight of at least one boric acid ester of orthoboric acid, diethylene glycol and an ethylene glycol-monoalkyl ether in the molar ratio of preferably from about 1 : 1 : 1 to 1 : 1 : 2,5; B) from 50 to 80% by weight of at least one ethylene glycol-monoalkyl ether with from 1 to 4 ethyelne oxide groups and an alkyl group with from 1 to 4 carbon atoms; and of C) from 1 to 10 % by weight of at least one inhibitor, the percentages by weight each relating to the total weight of the fluid.
