The invention pertains to a device for compressing gas, with a housing that contains a separating element along which a piston, moved by a drive mechanism, passes through two dead-center positions. By providing a three-stage compression cycle, with the piston together with the housing delimiting three successive separation chambers for containment of the gas to be compressed, the invention creates a gas-compressing device with which a high compression value can be attained at low cost for assembly and maintenance and which is reliable in operation.
L'invention concerne un dispositif servant à comprimer du gaz, qui comprend un carter (10) dans lequel se trouve un élément de séparation (12) le long duquel est guidé un piston (14) qui passe par deux positions de point mort et qui est déplacé au moyen d'un système d'entraînement. D'après l'invention, pour un cycle de compression en trois étapes, le piston (14) délimite conjointement avec le carter (10) trois chambres de séparation (III, IV et V) disposées en ligne, afin de définir l'espace recevant le gaz à comprimer. Il est ainsi créé un dispositif destiné à comprimer ledit gaz, qui est fiable et qui permet d'atteindre un indice de compression élevé, tout en n'impliquant pas de montage et d'entretien complexes.
