ABSTRACT OF THE INVENTION A marine propulsion device comprising a mounting bracket adapted to be fixedly attached to the transom of a boat and having therein an opening, a propulsion unit pivotally connected to the mounting bracket for pivotal movement relative to the mounting bracket, a hydraulic cylinder/piston assembly connected between the mounting bracket and the propulsion unit for effecting pivotal movement of the propulsion unit relative to the mounting bracket, a manifold fixedly attached to the mounting bracket adjacent the opening, the manifold being adapted to be connected to a source of hydraulic fluid inside the boat, and a fluid line communicating between the manifold and the hydraulic cylindectpiston assembly for supplying hydraulic fluid to the cylinder/piston assembly.
