A torque transfer mechanism having a transfer clutch connecting a pair of rotary members and a electrohydraulic clutch actuator for controlling engagement of the transfer clutch. The clutch actuator includes a hydraulic pump and a hydraulically- actuated rotary operator. The hydraulic pump draws low pressure fluid from a sump and delivers high pressure fluid to a series of actuation chambers defined between coaxially aligned first and second components of the rotary operator. The magnitude of the fluid pressure delivered to the actuation chamber controls angular movement of the second component relative to the first component for energizing a pilot ball ramp unit. The pilot ball ramp mechanism applies a clutch actuation force on a pilot friction clutch which energized a main ball ramp unit for applying a clutch engagement force to a main friction clutch. A hydraulic control system adaptively regulates the fluid pressure delivered to the actuation chamber.
Mécanisme de transfert de couple ayant un embrayage de transfert reliant une paire d'éléments rotatifs et un actionneur d'embrayage électrohydraulique pour commander l'engagement de l'embrayage de transfert. L'actionneur d'embrayage comporte une pompe hydraulique et un opérateur rotatif à commande hydraulique. La pompe hydraulique aspire le fluide basse pression à partir d'un carter et envoie un fluide haute pression à une série de chambres d'actionnement définies entre un premier et un deuxième composants coaxialement alignés de l'opérateur rotatif. L'amplitude de la pression du fluide délivré à la chambre d'actionnement commande le déplacement angulaire du deuxième élément par rapport au premier élément en vue d'énergiser une unité pilote de rampe à billes. Le mécanisme pilote de rampe à billes applique une force d'actionnement d'embrayage sur un embrayage à friction pilote, ce qui énergise une unité principale de rampe à billes pour appliquer une force de mise en prise d'embrayage à un embrayage à friction principal. Un système de commande hydraulique régule de manière adaptative la pression du fluide délivré à la chambre d'actionnement.
