A down hole rotary pump in a well is driven by a down hole hydraulic motor. The motor is mounted in the production string using a motor mount. The motor has a hollow shaft that passes fluid through both the motor and the motor mount. This arrangement provides a high torque down hole drive system. It eliminates the sucker rod drive that causes power loss and tubing wear and mitigates problems in completing directional and deviated wells.
