The invention relates to a hydraulically driven pressing device (1) comprising a piston (5) and a cylinder (4) for acting on pressing jaws (8, 8', 8'), wherein the piston shaft (11) at any rate is connected to acting means (12). To further improve a pressing device of the type in question such that the same device can be used to carry out pressing operations requiring different levels of pressing power, it is proposed that an adjustable stop (33) be provided in the direction of displacement of the hydraulic piston (5) in order to achieve different end positions for the hydraulic piston (5) during the piston return stroke. A method of pressing a fitting with a tube is also described.
L'invention concerne un appareil de compression (1) à entraînement hydraulique qui présente un piston (5) et un vérin (4) pour agir sur des mâchoires de compression (8, 8', 8'). Dans tous les cas, la tige (11) du piston est reliée à des moyens d'action (12). Pour encore améliorer un appareil de compression du type décrit ci-dessus de telle sorte que l'on puisse réaliser avec le même appareil des compressions qui nécessitent différentes énergies de compression, il est prévu selon l'invention une butée ajustable (33) dans la direction de déplacement du piston hydraulique (5) pour obtenir différentes positions d'extrémité du piston hydraulique (5) lors du retour du piston. L'invention concerne également un procédé de compression d'un raccord sur un tube.
