ABSTRACT HYDRAULICALLY POWERED DRILLING SUB FOR DEEPWELL DRILLING The hydraulically powered sub for deepwell drilling comprises a hydraulic rotary motor of the positive displacement type (such as a vane motor and a Moineau motor). The outer surface of the housing of the motor is provided with sections having the outer surface thereof at various radii with respect to the central axis of the housing. The large-radius sections form stabiliser wings and house at least part of the hydraulic motor, such as hydraulic conduits, vanes, slots for vanes, or fluid compartments.
