ABSTRACT After the removal of strands of barbed wire from long stretches of fencing, a problem presents itself in the orderly, expeditious, and efficient rolling up of the wire. The subject invention is a mechanical structure designed to take up the wire with the expenditure of a fraction of the time and labour usually required. This device, referred to hereinafter as a Hydraulically-pow- ered Wire-roller, is a module that (a) links to a port- able source of hydraulic power that is applied to drive a take-up reel, and (b) features a manually-oper- ated wire-guidance mechanism to assure orderly coiling.
