This invention relates to a process useful in converting hydrocarbonaceous oils into products of lower average molecular weight and lower average boiling point. The process comprises contacting said hydrocarbonaceous oils under hydrocracking conditions sufficient to convert at least about 30 % of the hydrocarbonaceous oils, which boil above 700 ~F, to middle distillate components, having a boiling point of less than 700 ~F, with a catalyst comprising a cracking component, a binder, a first hydrogenation consisting of palladium and a second hydrogenation component consisting of platinum wherein the molar ratio of palladium to platinum is between 10:1 and 1:10.
L'invention concerne un procédé utile pour transformer des huiles hydrocarbonées en des produits présentant une masse moléculaire moyenne et un point d'ébullition moyen inférieurs. Ledit procédé consiste à mettre les huiles hydrocarbonées au contact d'un catalyseur comprenant un composant de craquage, un liant, un premier composant d'hydrogénation constitué de palladium et un second composant d'hydrogénation constitué de platine, le rapport molaire palladium/platine étant compris entre 10:1 et 1:10, dans des conditions d'hydrocraquage suffisantes pour transformer au moins 30 % environ des huiles hydrocarbonées, qui bouillent au-dessus de 700 ·F, en des composants de distillat moyen, ayant un point d'ébullition inférieur à 700 ·F.
