A method of synthesizing hydrocarbons from smaller hydrocarbons includes the steps of hydrocarbon halogenation, simultaneous oligomerization and hydrogen halide neutralization, and product recovery, with a metal-oxygen cataloreactant used to facilitate carbon-carbon coupling. Treatment with air or oxygen liberates halogen and regenerates the cataloreactant.

L'invention concerne un procédé pour synthétiser des hydrocarbures à partir d'hydrocarbures de plus petite dimension. Ce procédé comprend les étapes consistant : à halogéner les hydrocarbures ; à effectuer simultanément une oligomérisation et une neutralisation d'halogénure d'hydrogène ; puis à extraire le produit à l'aide d'un cataloréactif métal-oxygène qui est destiné à faciliter le couplage carbone-carbone. Un traitement au moyen d'air ou d'oxygène libère l'halogène, et régénère le cataloréactif.
