A-33443/PDF TO ALL WHOM IT MAY CONCERN: BE IT KNOWN THAT we, DONALD F. GRIEVE and ROBERT E. HOCHSCHEID, both citizens of the United States of America, residing respectively in the City of La Honda, County of San Mateo, State of California, and the City of Palo Alto, Santa Clara County, State of California, have invented certain new and useful improvements in HYDROCYCLONE ASSEMBLY of which the following is a specification. Abstract of the Disclosure A hydrocyclone assembly suitable for use with high temperature feeds(e.g., hot petroleum liquids). The hydrocyclone body is made of ceramic material with one end being flanged and cooperating with an inlet head. These parts are clamped against a mounting plate by means including one or more spring members of the dis- torted washer type (e.g., Belleville washer). The mounting minimizes breakage of the hydrocyclone body when used with high temperature fluid feed. Some embodiments employ a plurality of hydrocyclones disposed within a common pressure vessel. - 1 -
