A process for the production of C3 to C6 aldehydes by hydroformylating a mixture of (i) C2 to C5 olefins and mixtures thereof, (ii) C2 to C5 alkynes and mixtures thereof and optionally (iii) cumulated dienes in the presence of a solution of a rhodium organophosphorus complex catalyst at a concentration of rhodium in solution of from 1 to 1000 ppm by weight, in particular the olefine is ethylene and the alkyne acetylene and the ratio of phosphorus to rhodium is greater than 30. The aldehydes are useful intermediates in the production of various alcohols, polyols and acids.

La présente invention concerne un procédé de production d'aldéhydes C¿3? à C¿6? par hydroformylation d'un mélange (i) d'oléfines C¿2? à C¿5? ou d'un mélange de celles-ci, (ii) d'alcynes C¿2? à C¿5? ou d'un mélange de ceux-ci et éventuellement (iii) de diènes cumulés, en présence d'une solution contenant un catalyseur complexe organophosphoré de rhodium ayant une concentration de rhodium en solution de 1 à 1000 ppm en poids, l'oléfine étant notamment de l'éthylène et l'alcyne de l'acétylène, et la proportion de phosphore par rapport au rhodium étant supérieure à 30. Les aldéhydes représentent des intermédiaires utiles à la production de divers alcools, polyols et acides.
