The present invention relates to a process for the manufacture of a porous polymer, wherein a composition comprising a polymerizable component, a porogen having an inverse temperature dependent solubility and a solvent are polymerized at a temperature around the cloud point temperature of the composition. The porous polymers obtainable according to the process of the invention are useful, for example, as materials for the manufacture of biomedical devices and prostheses, including ophthalmic devices such as contact lenses or artificial corneas.
L'invention concerne un procédé de fabrication d'un polymère poreux, dans lequel une composition comprenant un composant polymérisable, un agent générateur de pores, à solubilité inversement dépendante de la température, et un solvant sont polymérisés à une température voisine du point de trouble de la composition. Les polymères poreux obtenus, selon ce procédé, sont utiles, par exemple, comme matériaux destinés à la fabrication de dispositifs biomédicaux et de prothèses, y compris de dispositifs ophtalmiques tels que des lentilles de contact ou des cornées artificielles.
