A semi-closed steam turbine power system and method of operation which employs a combustor which injects and combusts hydrogen fuel and oxygen oxidant in a stoichiometric ratio so that the primary by-product of the combustion process is H2O. The system also includes a recuperator, fuel preheater, fuel heater, and condenser which enable a substantial portion of the steam in the system to be recycled.

On décrit un système de centrale thermique à vapeur, à cycle semi-fermé, et le procédé de fonctionnement de celle-ci dans lequel on utilise un dispositif combustor qui injecte et brûle de l'hydrogène combustible ainsi qu'un comburant à base d'oxygène selon un rapport stoechiométrique tel que le premier sous-produit du procédé de combustion soit H¿2?O. Ce système comprend également un récupérateur, un réchauffeur de carburant ainsi qu'un condenseur, lesquels permettent le recyclage d'une portion importante de la vapeur du système.
