L'invention concerne un procédé de production d'hydrogène intégré thermiquement à partir d'une charge hydrocarbonée liquide contenant des composés soufrés comprenant au moins une étape de chauffage de la charge hydrocarbonée liquide par échange thermique indirect avec un flux chaud, une étape de désulfuration de la charge hydrocarbonée chauffée, une étape de vaporisation de la charge hydrocarbonée désulfurée par échange thermique indirect avec le flux chaud sortant du reformeur autotherme, une étape de reformage autotherme de la charge hydrocarbonée et une étape dans laquelle la teneur en monoxyde de carbone dans le gaz riche en hydrogène produit est réduite dans un réacteur de conversion du monoxyde de carbone à l'eau. L'invention concerne aussi l'installation de production d'hydrogène correspondante à ce procédé.
