The invention relates to a method for storing hydrogen and for producing hydrogen in which, in order to store hydrogen, a unit (2) including a cation donor, particularly of H+ ions, an anode (20), a cathode capable of storing atomic and/or molecular (22) hydrogen, a wall (21) pervious to ions including an electrically non-conducting but ionically conducting material between the cathode and the cation donor, is subjected to an electric field allowing the formation, at least at the interface between the cathode and the electrically non conducting material, of atomic and/or molecular hydrogen and the storage of said hydrogen at least in the cathode, and in which, in order to release gaseous hydrogen, the cathode is heated and/or submitted to a negative pressure.
La présente invention concerne un procédé de stockage et de production d'hydrogène, dans lequel pour stocker de l'hydrogène, une unité (2) comportant : un donneur de cations, notamment d'ions H+, une anode (20), une cathode apte à stocker l'hydrogène atomique et/ou moléculaire (22), une paroi (21) perméable aux ions, comportant un matériau non conducteur électrique mais conducteur ionique, entre la cathode et le donneur de cations, est soumise à un champ électrique permettant la formation, au moins à l'interface de la cathode et du matériau non conducteur électrique, d'hydrogène atomique et/ou moléculaire et son stockage au sein de la cathode au moins, et dans lequel, pour restituer de l'hydrogène gazeux, la cathode est chauffée et/ou mise en dépression.
