A rubber composition comprising: at least one hydrogenated nitrite rubber, and at least one thermoplastic polyolefin, wherein the weight ratio (hydrogenated nitrite rubber :thermoplastic polyolefin) is in the range from 95 : 0.5 to 50 : 50. The composition retains substantially the resistance to heat and chemicals and the mechanical properties characteristic of hydrogenated nitrite rubber upon curing.
