ABSTRACT Hydrogenated resins comprising from 5 to 80 wt.% of units derived from an olefinically unsaturated aromatic compound from 5 to 80 wt.% of units derived from C5 olefins and/or diolefins and/or C6 olefins and/or diolefins or a mixture of C5 and C6 olefins and/or diolefins - and from 7 to 45 wt.% of units derived from a terpene, preferably the aromatic content has been reduced to between 3 to 75% by hydrogenation and their use as tackifiers for adhesives.
