Hydrogenation of nitrile group-containing unsaturated polymers A B S T R A C T Nitrile group-containing polymers are hydrogenated in a homogeneous phase with preservation of the nitrile groups in a low molecular weight ketone as a solvent and with a compound corresponding to formula RuX [(L1) (L2)n] as a catalyst, wherein X represents hydrogen, halogen L1 represents hydrogen, halogen, optionally substituted cyclopentadienyl, L2 represents a phosphane, bisphosphane or arsane and n is 1, 2 or 3 and [(L1) (L2)n] represents a cyclopentadienyl bisphosphane.
