The present invention describes the preparation of reverse polymeric micelles (RPM) through hydrophobically-modified star-shaped polyols. More specifically, RPM are obtained from polymeric structures where the polyol constitutes the hydrophilic domain while the hydrophobic shell is obtained either through the modification of existing chemical functions (e.g. esterification) or through copolymerization with hydrocarbon (alkyl)acrylate derivatives. Hydrophilic guests can be accommodated in the micelle core opening new avenues for the use of such carriers as delivery agents for polar active compounds.
La présente invention concerne la préparation de micelles polymères inverses (RPM) au moyen de polyols en forme d~étoile modifiés de manière hydrophobe. Plus spécifiquement, les RPM sont obtenus à partir de structures polymères dans lesquelles le polyol constitue le domaine hydrophile alors que l~enveloppe hydrophobe est obtenue soit par la modification de fonctions chimiques existantes (par ex., une estérification) ou par une copolymérisation avec des dérivés d~(alkyl)acrylate d~hydrocarbures. Des invités hydrophiles peuvent être logés dans le noyau de la micelle, ouvrant de nouvelles voies pour l'utilisation de tels excipients comme agents de distribution pour des composés polaires actifs.
