A hydrophilic cotton lap (1) made up of 100 % cotton fibres. The lap is of the complex type and includes three mutually cohesive cotton layers produced by a continuous lap production method, the outer layers (3 and 4) surrounding the central layer (2) being card webs. The lap is used as fan-folded or individually packaged hydrophilic cotton products.

L'invention concerne généralement une nappe de coton hydrophile (1) consistuée à cent pour cent de fibres de coton. Selon l'invention, la nappe est de type complexe et comprend trois couches de coton présentant une cohésion entre elles résultant d'un procédé de fabrication en continu de ladite nappe, les couches extérieures (3 et 4) entourant la couche centrale (2) étant des voiles de carde. La nappe selon l'invention est utilisée sous forme de produits de coton hydrophile paquetés ou en formats.
