The invention comprises a method for clarifying ink-laden water obtained from the recycling of paper stocks by treating said water with a conventional coagulant followed by treatment with a hydrophilic dispersion polymer. The hydrophilic dispersion flocculant of the invention is a copolymer of dimethylaminoethyl (meth)acrylate methyl chloride quat (DMAEA-MCQ) cationic monomer and (meth)acrylamide (AcAm). Following dosing with the flocculant, a floc is formed. The floc contains ink and impurities which are removed from the water process stream by means of solid liquid separation; the solid liquid separation comprising a dissolved air flotation method.

L'invention porte sur une méthode pour clarifier de l'eau chargée d'encre, provenant du recyclage de papier; elle consiste à traiter cette eau avec un coagulant classique, puis avec un polymère de dispersion hydrophile. Le floculant de dispersion hydrophile de l'invention est un copolymère d'un monomère cationique quaternaire de (méth)acrylate de diméthylaminoéthyle et de chlorure de méthyle (DMAEA-MCQ), avec un (méth)acrylamide (AcAm). Après dosage avec le floculant, il y a formation d'un floc. Ce dernier renferme de l'encre et des impuretés, qui sont éliminés dans le circuit de l'eau du procédé par séparation liquide/solides; celle-ci comprend une méthode de flottation par air dissous.
