A method of coating a polymer comprising the step of treating said polymer with an activating agent to produce a reactive polymer, for example treating a polymer bearing at least one X (halogen) group and at least one H with base to eliminate HX. The reactive polymer is then with a reactive coating, for example PVP, preferably in the presence of an initiator like persulfate anions, to produce a coated polymer, which maybe hydrophilic in nature.

Procédé de revêtement d'un polymère comprenant l'étape de traitement dudit polymère avec un agent d'activation pour produire un polymère réactif, par exemple, le traitement d'un polymère portant au moins un groupe X (halogène) et au moins un H pour éliminer HX. Le polymère réactif est ainsi avec un revêtement réactif par exemple PVP, de préférence en présence d'un initiateur tel que des anions de persulfate pour produire un polymère revêtu qui peut être de nature hydrophilique.
