The invention discloses a mammalian teat dip for controlling mastitis, a method for preparing the composition and a method of treatment of mammals. The composition contains a film-forming polymer blend and at least one antimicrobial. The polymer blend contains a solvent-soluble, thermoplastic polyurethane and a hydrophilic poly(N-vinyl lactam). Upon application to mammalian skin, this composition leaves a long-lasting, water-resistant, residual, elastic film which treats and protects mammalian skin from infection.
L'invention concerne un liquide pour trempage des trayons pour mammifères permettant de lutter contre la mammite, un procédé de préparation de la composition et un procédé de traitement des mammifères malades. La composition renferme un mélange polymère filmogène et au moins un antimicrobe. Le mélange polymère contient un polyuréthanne thermoplastique soluble dans un solvant et un poly(N-vinyl lactame) hydrophile. Cette composition, une fois appliquée sur la peau du mammifère, dépose un film élastique résiduel hydrorésistant de longue durée qui traite et protège la peau du mammifère contre les infections.
