A process for rendering hydrophilic a separation membrane having a hydrophobic matrix polymer comprises doping the membrane solvent system with a cylic ester additive which is compatible with the matrix polymer and adding a wetting agent additive, such that the resulting membrane is instantaneously wetting. The invention further relates to the membrane formed in accord with this process.

Cette invention se rapporte à un procédé visant à rendre hydrophile une membrane de séparation comportant une matrice polymère hydrophobe. Ledit procédé consiste à doper le système de solvants de la membrane avec un additif de type ester cyclique qui est compatible avec la matrice polymère et à ajouter un additif de type agent mouillant, de sorte que la membrane résultante est instantanément mouillante. L'invention se rapporte en outre à la membrane formée conformément à ce procédé.
