ABSTRACT Curable silicone prepolymers are made hydrophilic after cure by mixing the prepolymer with ethoxylated nonionic siloxane or perfluoroalkyl surface active agent or cationic or amphoteric fluorochemical surface active agent. The cured silicones have semipermanent hydrophilicity and are especially useful as dental impressions.
