A hydrophobic polyurethane elastomer is disclosed comprising an isocyanate terminated prepolymer having an isocyanate content ranging from 4 to 12 wt.% NCO comprising the reaction product of: (i) an OH terminated homopolymer of butadiene having molecular weight ranging from 1000 to 4000 and an OH functionality of from 1.9 to 2.1; (ii) an aliphatic or cycloaliphatic diisocyanate; and a diol chain extender having a molecular weight ranging from 62 to 400.
L'invention se rapporte à un élastomère de polyuréthanne hydrophobe comportant, d'une part, un prépolymère à terminaison isocyanate ayant une teneur en isocyanate correspondant à une concentration de NCO comprise entre 4 et 12 % en poids et comportant le produit de réaction (i) d'un homopolymère de butadiène à terminaison OH ayant un poids moléculaire compris entre 1000 et 1000 et une fonctionnalité OH comprise entre 1,9 et 2,1; et (ii) d'un diisocyanate aliphatique ou cycloaliphatique; et, d'autre part, un allongeur de chaîne diol ayant un poids moléculaire compris entre 62 et 400.
