The present invention relates to hydrophobic modified preS-derived peptides of hepatitis B virus (HBV) which are derived from a HBV preS consensus sequence and are N-terminal preferably acylated and optional C-terminal modified. These hydrophobic modified preS- derived peptides of HBV are very effective HBV entry inhibitors as well as HDV entry inhibitors and are, thus, suitable for the inhibition of HBV and/or HDV infection, prevention of primary HBV and/or HDV infection as well as treatment of (chronic) hepatitis B and/or D. The present invention further relates to pharmaceutical and vaccine compositions comprising these hydrophobic modified preS-derived peptides of HBV.
La présente invention concerne des peptides dérivés de préS modifiés hydrophobes du virus de l'hépatite B (VHB) qui sont dérivés d'une séquence consensus de préS du VHB et N-terminaux de préférence acylés et éventuellement C-terminaux modifiés. Ces peptides dérivés de préS modifiés hydrophobes du VHB sont des inhibiteurs très efficaces de la pénétration du VHB ainsi que des inhibiteurs de la pénétration du VHD et sont, ainsi, appropriés pour l'inhibition d'une infection à VHB et/ou VHD, la prévention d'une primo-infection à VHB et/ou VHD ainsi que le traitement d'une hépatite B et/ou D (chronique). La présente invention concerne en outre des compositions pharmaceutiques et vaccinales renfermant ces peptides dérivés de préS modifiés hydrophobes du VHB.
