A-18515/A Hydroquinoline compounds Abstract of the disclosure: Novel substituted tetrahydroquinoline compounds of the formula I Image (I) are described, in which R1 is C1-18alkyl or together with R8 1,4-butylene, R2 and R3, independently of one another, are C1-18alkyl, phenyl or phenyl-C1-4alkyl or together tetra-, penta- or hexamethylene, R4 is hydrogen, halogen, nitro, C1-24alkyl or a group of the formula -O-R5, R5 is hydrogen, C1-18alkyl or benzyl, R6 and R7, independently of one another, are hydrogen, C1-18alkyl, C2-18alkyl which is interrupted by -S- or -O-, or are phenyl or phenyl-C1-4alkyl or together C4-11alkylene, R8 is hydrogen, C1-18alkyl or together with R1 1,4-butylene, and n is 1, 2 or 3. The compounds are suitable as stabilisers, in particular as antioxidants for organic materials.
