ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A hydroreacting material to obtain hydrogen compri- ses a hydrogen-educing metal and a catalyst, with zinc used as an additional component. The hydrogen-educing metal is magnesium. The components used for catalysts include metals capable of producing in the crystal lat- tice of magnesium areas with hydrogen overvoltage rang- ing from 0.1 to 0.5 V, the corrosion current being 3 mA/cm2.
