A catalyst enables hydrosilylation of aliphatically unsaturated carbon-carbon bonds by silicon-bonded hydrogen to be conducted rapidly in water. The catalyst provides a rapid method of carrying out hydrosilylation in water. An emulsion form of catalyst includes a dispersion in water of liquid catalyst, the main component of which is a platinum and alkenylsiloxane complex. The volumetric average particle size of liquid catalyst dispersed is less than or equal to 1 µm. Hydrosilylation of an aliphatically unsaturated carbon-carbon bond by silicon-bonded hydrogen is carried out in water using the catalyst.

Ce catalyseur permet de réaliser une hydrosilylation rapide en phase aqueuse de liaisons aliphatiques insaturées carbone-carbone par de l'hydrogène lié à du silicium. Ce catalyseur permet d'obtenir une méthode rapide d'hydrosilylation dans l'eau. Une forme émulsifiée de ce catalyseur consiste en une dispersion de catalyseur liquide dans de l'eau, dont le composant principal est un complexe de platine et d'alcénylsiloxane. Le diamètre moyen des particules de catalyseur liquide dispersées est inférieur ou égal à 1 µm. € l'aide de ce catalyseur, on réalise l'hydrosilylation en phase aqueuse d'une liaison aliphatique insaturée carbone-carbone par un hydrogéne lié à du silicium.
