A process for accelerating hydrosilylation between a silicon hybride compound and a compound having an alkenyl group (a carbon-to-carbon unsaturated bond). Specifically a process for conducting hydroxilylation between a silicon compound (A) of the general formula (1): RaXbHcSi and a compound (B) having an alkenyl group (a carbon-to-carbon unsaturated bond) in the presence of a catalyst (C) containing a group 8 metal and a sulfur compound (D).
