Abstract In a hydrostatic control device, particularly steering device, there is an outer housing (1) And a motor housing (24) of a metering motor which carries at the end a slide surface (39) of a flat slide directional valve (37). The motor housing (24) is mounted between two end faces (55; 38) of the outer housing (1), of which one acts as the fixed slide surfaces (38). Between the two slide surface (38,39) there is a high pressure zone(51) and between two and surfaces (55, 56) opposite thereto there is an intermediate pressure zone of larger area. The latter is connected between a first throttle gap (52) adjoining the high pressure zone and a second throttle (58) leading to the low pressure side. This results in of the directional valve (37) with low friction. FIG.1.
