Selon l'invention, le tourillon de l'arbre affectant la forme d'un manchon, le palier comporte un premier et un second jeux de chambres ména- gées dans des coussinets concentriques respectivement en regard de la paroi interne et de la paroi externe du tourillon. Appli- cation aux pompes à fluide et, plus particulièrement, aux pompes primaires de réacteur nucléaire.
