HYDROSTATIC SEAL ABSTRACT The hydrostatic seal is constructed of thirty-two 45 curved segments manufactured from fiberglass reinforced natural rubber; There are eight segments per ring layer and four ring layers form the seal; the segments are glued together in a staggered arrangement, one staggered segment through the seal being left unglued to provide for field installation of the seal around the pump, the unglued segment being glued in the field.
