ABSTRACT OF DISCLOSURE A catalyst is provided which comprises a hydrogenation component composited with an alumina-containing support. the catalyst has a median pore radius ranging from about 70 to about 95 Angstroms and a specified pore size distribution. A referred catalyst is cobalt-molybdenum on alumina. Also provided is a hydrotreating process utilizing said catalyst.
