This invention relates to hydroxy-tetrahydro-naphthalenylurea derivatives and salts thereof which are useful as active ingredients of pharmaceutical preparations. The hydroxy-tetrahydro-naphthalenylurea derivatives of the present invention have an excellent activity as VRl antagonist and are useful for the prophylaxis and treatment of diseases associated with VRl activity, in particular for the treatment of urinary incontinence, urge urinary incontinence, overactive bladder, chronic pain, neuropathic pain, postoperative pain, rheumatoid arthritic pain, neuralgia, neuropathies, algesia, nerve injury, ischaemia, neurodegeneration, stroke, inflammatory disorders, asthma and COPD.

Cette invention concerne des dérivés d'hydroxy-tétrahydro-naphtalènylurée et leurs sels, des plus utiles comme principe actif de préparations pharmaceutiques. Les dérivés d'hydroxy-tétrahydro-naphtalènylurée selon l'invention, présentent une excellente activité comme antagonistes du récepteur de la vanilloïde (VR1) et se révèlent des plus utiles pour la prophylaxie et le traitement d'affections associées à l'activité de VR1. Les affections concernées sont essentiellement l'incontinence urinaire, l'incontinence urinaire impérieuse, l'hyperactivité de la vessie, les douleurs chroniques, neuropathiques et postopératoires, les douleurs de la polyarthrite rhumatoïde, les névralgies, les neuropathies, l'algésie, les lésions des nerfs, le traumatisme nerveux, l'ischémie, la dégénérescence nerveuse, l'ictus cérébral, et des troubles inflammatoires tels que l'asthme et la broncho-pneumopathie chronique obstructive (BPCO).
