Compounds of the formula (I), or a pharmaceutically-acceptable salt, or an in- vivo-hydrolysable ester thereof, (I) R1a is NH(C=W)R5 or (a); W is O or S; R2 and R3 are for example H or F; R1 is for example hydrogen, or halogen; R5 is selected from hydrogen, (2-6C)alkyl (optionally substituted); R6 and R7 are independently selected from hydrogen, and (1-4C)alkyl (optionally substituted); wherein R4 is either a hydroxymethyl substituent on C-4' of the isoxazoline ring; or R4 is a hydroxymethyl substituent on C-5' of the isoxazoline ring and the stereochemistry at C-5' of the isoxazoline ring and at C-5 of the oxazolidinone ring is selected, such that the compound of formula (I) is a single diastereomer; are useful as antibacterial agents; and processes for their manufacture and pharmaceutical compositions containing them are described.
L'invention concerne des composés de formule (I) ou un sel pharmaceutiquement acceptable ou un ester hydrolysable in vivo de ces composés. Dans ladite formule (I), R¿1?a représente NH(C=W)R¿5? ou W représente O ou S ; R¿2? et R¿3? représentent par exemple H ou F ; R1 représente par exemple hydrogène ou halogène ; R¿5? est sélectionné entre hydrogène et un groupe alkyle en C2-6 (éventuellement substitué) ; R¿6? et R¿7? sont sélectionnés indépendamment l'un de l'autre entre hydrogène et un groupe alkyle en C1-4 (éventuellement substitué) ; R¿4? représente soit un substituant hydroxyméthyle en position C-4' du noyau isoxazoline, soit un substituant hydroxyméthyle en position C-5' du noyau isoxazoline, et la configuration stéréochimique en position C-5' de l'anneau isoxazoline et en position C-5 de l'anneau oxazolidinone est sélectionnée de façon que le composant de formule (I) soit un diastéréoisomère unique. Les composés de formule (I) selon l'invention peuvent servir d'agents antibiotiques. La présente invention se rapporte en outre à des procédés de production de ces composés, ainsi qu'à des compositions pharmaceutiques les contenant.
