Abstract of the Disclosure A hygienic panel made of plastic is provided especially for use in a shower enclosure. The panel reliably prevents fungus attack and/or bacterial infestation. The panel includes on at least one exterior side a thin layer containing a disinfectant, particularly a fungicide and/or and antibacterial agent. The plastic of the layer is sufficiently porous that moisture can penetrate into the layer and small amounts of disinfectant agent can carried to the surface during a drying phase.
