ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A hyperimmune globulin composition of anti-Hepatitis C Virus (HCV) antibody, a hyperimmune globulin preparation against HCV having an antibody titer to HCV in the range of from about 1:2,000 to about 1:200,000 and a method for making both the composition and the preparation of the invention. In the inventive method, plasma from acceptable donors is pooled, fractionated, and rendered suitable for either intravenous or intramuscular injection. The preparation may be administered to individuals either exposed to HCV or at risk of HCV infection so that antibody titers to HCV may be increased in the serum of the individual.
