A hyperlipemia remedy containing an indan derivative represented by general formula (1) or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof as the active ingredient; the use of the above compound for the preparation of a hyperlipemia remedy; and a therapeutic method for hyperlipemia using this compound, wherein R1 represents C1-C12 alkyl, benzyl, styryl, naphthyl, optionally substitued phenyl or optionally substituted thienyl; R2 represents carboxy, C1-C4 alkoxycarbonyl or a group represented by formula (a) or (b), Y represents -(CH2)p- (wherein p represents an integer of 0 to 5), -CO-(CH2)q, - CH(OH)-(CH2)q (wherein q represents an integer of 1 to 4, and the symbol represents a bond to R2), oxymethylene or vinylene; and n represents an integer of 1 to 4.

Médicament contre l'hyperlipémie renfermant un dérivé d'indane représenté par la formule générale (1), ou sel pharmaceutiquement acceptable de ce dérivé utilisé comme principe actif. L'invention porte également sur l'utilisation de ce composé pour l'élaboration d'un médicament contre l'hyperlipémie et sur une méthode thérapeutique contre l'hyperlipémie mettant en oeuvre ce composé. Dans cette formule, R?1¿ représente C¿1?-C¿12? alkyle, benzyle, styryle, naphtyle, phényle ou thiényle à substitution facultative; R?2¿ représente carboxy, C¿1?-C¿4? alcoxycarbonyle ou un groupe représenté par les formules (a) or (b).
