The cervical collar disclosed herein is formed from a stiff and flexible plastic material. This collar comprises (a) an encircling band, (b) a mandible support piece - both formed form said plastic, and (c) an interior layer of foam. The posterior of the collar is designed in such a way that it permits the application of cold therapy to the wearer's neck so as to allow treatment of whiplash-type injuries.
