An IC card capable of writing information without requiring a writer. The IC card (1) comprises an IC chip (3), an antenna (4) and a plurality of lines (5), all incorporated in a card body (2), terminals (6, 7) connected to the forward end of each line (5), and conductive seals (8) pasted to the surface of the card body (2) and conducting the terminals (6, 7) to each other. When an arbitrary one of the plurality of conductive seals (8) is stripped, conduction of a line (5) corresponding to the stripped conductive seal (8) is interrupted. Since the IC chip (3) transmits a signal corresponding to the conducting/interrupting state of the plurality of lines (5) to a reader, information can be written by simply stripping the conductive seal (8) without requiring any special writer, and convenience is enhanced significantly.
