Using an IC card for signature authenticating system on which registered signature data is recorded, the dissimilarity of check signature data is divided into three ranks defined by a first parameter and a second parameter larger than the first parameter. If the measured dissimilarity is in the rank below the first parameter, the signature is authenticated; if the measured dissimilarity is in the second rank above the first parameter and below the second parameter, re-signature is ordered or authentication is not given after a specified number of re-signatures; and if the measured dissimilarity is in the rank above the second parameter, authentication is not given.
Lorsqu'on utilise une carte à circuit intégré pour système d'authentification de signature, sur laquelle sont mémorisées des données relatives à la signature enregistrée, la dissimilarité des données de la signature à contrôler est divisée en trois classes définies par un premier paramètre et par un second paramètre, plus grand que le premier. Si la dissimilarité mesurée se trouve dans une classe inférieure au premier paramètre, la signature est authentifiée. Si la dissimilarité mesurée se trouve dans la seconde classe, en-dessous du premier paramètre et au-dessus du second paramètre, une nouvelle signature est demandée ou l'authentification n'est pas accordée après un nombre spécifié de signatures refaites. Et si la dissimilarité mesurée se trouve dans la classe située au-dessus du second paramètre, l'authentification n'est pas accordée.
