ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A conveying apparatus of an IC card which is assembled in an IC card reader/writer includes upper and lower conveying belts to convey the IC card by sandwiching it. The upper and lower conveying belts are arranged so as to be deviated in the card conveying direction. A connector having contact members adapted to be come into contact with the contacts of the IC card is arranged in at least one of the spaces which are formed in both edge portions of the upper and lower conveying belts by the deviation of the positions of the conveying belts.
