The tension strip is held in a clip or slots on the upright, at an angle of about 45°. It is adjustably slidable lengthwise and can be used both to adjust tension in the line, and as a wind jig. The upright is swivelable on the base, so that its direction can be varied. A fishing rod rest, and a fishing line reel are provided on the upright. Additionally a recess for the rod butt is provided in the base plate. When a fish strikes the line the tension strip and flag function as an indicator. The strike indicator is diassemblable into base, upright and tension strip for carriage.
