ICE HOCKEY STICK WITH HANDLE ATTACHMENT ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A hockey stick has the grip of the handle area improved by a rubber sleeve applied around the handle along the length over which it is normally gripped during play. In addition the corners of the handle are rendered more square by the insertion between the handle and the rubber sleeve of a pair of rigid strips which slighly overhang the corners and are arranged along parallel sides of the handle. The rubber grip and the square corners assist in preventing twisting of the handle in the hands of the user.
